Dear Rider,
As we head into the final stretch of 2025, I’m excited to share news of a major milestone for our city’s transit future. In November, the RTA Board approved the design phase for New Orleans’ first Bus Rapid Transit corridor. This approval moves the project from vision to reality and sets the stage for design work to begin in December. It’s an important step toward delivering faster, more reliable service with upgraded stations and a dedicated connection between New Orleans East, the Central Business District, and the West Bank.
Now that we’re deep into the holiday season, we know how important consistent, dependable transit is for riders across our city. Whether you’re traveling to work, shopping, gathering with family, or enjoying seasonal events, the RTA remains committed to keeping you moving safely, reliably, and comfortably.
Thank you for riding with us and for trusting us to be part of your daily journey. Together, we’ll finish this year on a high note and continue building a stronger, more connected transit system for all.

We’re excited to announce that the RTA Board has approved the design phase for our city’s first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor. This milestone moves the project from planning into action, setting the wheels in motion for detailed design work to begin.
The BRT corridor will bring dedicated lanes, upgraded stations, and more frequent, reliable service — creating a faster, more connected transit experience between New Orleans East, the Central Business District, and the West Bank.
We’re grateful for your support and enthusiasm as we build toward a future where transit is easier, more accessible, and more dependable for all riders. Stay tuned: this is just the beginning of an exciting journey.
