Winter 2024 service change to go into effect Jan. 14

Bus driving down Esplanade Ave.

Next month, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority plans fleet and service frequency reductions that will better prioritize its vehicle maintenance efforts and improve service reliability. The key changes include reducing fixed-route bus service by an additional 20% to ensure sufficient vehicles are available to provide consistent, reliable service for riders; retiring eight buses and temporarily removing 24 mechanically non-operable buses so that each mechanic can work on fewer buses and prioritize those that take less time to repair. The new schedule goes into effect Jan. 14, 2024. Please visit norta.com/servicechange to review a summary of changes.
