NOPD Seeking To Identify Suspect in Simple Burglary
News Orleans - NOPD is seeking to identify a subject wanted for simple burglary in the Eighth District.
On August 31, 2026, at about 11:20 a.m., a subject was observed by employees stealing pieces of copper from the 1600 block of Perdido Street.
Through investigation, Eighth District detectives obtained security footage of the pictured white male at the scene. He was seen fleeing on Perdido Street, then across South Claiborne Avenue towards South Roman Street.
He is regularly seen in the area and was riding a blue bicycle at the time of burglary.
