The City of New Orleans, in partnership with Song CDC and Wingate Engineers, invites residents to attend the 2nd community meeting for the Hung Dao Heritage Garden Project in Lower Algiers on Sunday, March 15 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church (6450 Kathy Ct.).
This meeting will focus on findings from the project’s flood study and the site’s potential to help manage stormwater and reduce neighborhood flooding in lower Algiers.
Attendees will review results from the community flood-mapping exercise, learn about stormwater modeling insights, and explore three conceptual garden layouts designed to capture and manage rainwater.
Community feedback will help refine the final design and ensure the project reflects local priorities.
