TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Full Closure of Filmore Avenue Between Memphis Street and Marshal Foch Street Extended Through March 16
NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW), in coordination with its contractor, CMG Pipelines, Inc., will extend the temporary full closure of both lanes of Filmore Avenue between Memphis Street and Marshal Foch Street through March 16, 2026, to accommodate roadway restoration work.
Motorists should use alternate routes during this period.
This work is part of the $20M Lakeview North Group F & G joint infrastructure project between the Department of Public Works and the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. Once complete, the project will improve drainage and include roadway, curb, sidewalk, and ADA-compliant ramp repairs. Construction is scheduled for completion in Summer 2026, weather permitting.
Parking restrictions will be in effect within the construction zone. “No Parking” signage will be posted in advance. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Safety is our top priority. Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians safely through the area.
