TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF LANES ON SAINT ANTHONY AVENUE

Traffic Advisory

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) announces that beginning Monday, Dec. 1, at 7 a.m. there will be intermittent lane closures on Saint Anthony Avenue. These temporary lane closures will allow DPW contractor Barriere Construction Co. LLC to perform roadway improvements as part of the DPW772: Right of Way Improvement Project. Local access will be maintained in both directions.

On 2900-3100 & 3300-3600 Saint Anthony Avenue, one lane will remain open for one-way traffic, and parking will remain available during the initial phase. There will be no parking impacts during this phase of the work.

Crews will begin patching, milling, and overlay paving. During this time, access will be limited to local traffic only, including deliveries and emergency vehicles as needed. Traffic control measures — including signage, cones, fencing, and flaggers — will be in place to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure. Parking will be prohibited on blocks where crews are actively working. “No parking” signs will be posted in advance to notify residents and businesses.
