NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) continue to observe a significant reduction in crime, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the men and women of the NOPD, the strategic use of advanced technology, and a steadfast commitment to constitutional policing. Strong public safety partnerships, including collaborations with the Louisiana State Police and federal law enforcement agencies, have also played a critical role in driving and sustaining this downward trend in crime.

Since January 1, the City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) have consistently welcomed support from our federal, state, and local partners. This collaborative approach has been instrumental in our ongoing success in reducing crime. In particular, we were honored to receive the SEAR 1 grant from the White House and the Department of Homeland Security, which has significantly enhanced our resources and capabilities.

The City of New Orleans and NOPD remain committed to sustaining this momentum, ensuring that every neighborhood continues to feel the impact of these combined efforts.
