TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURES ON DUBLIN STREET BEGIN THURSDAY, AUGUST 14

traffic advisory

NEW ORLEANS — Beginning Friday, August 15, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Boh Bros. Construction Co., will implement full lane closures on the 600–800 blocks of Dublin Street (Leake Avenue to Burthe Street). Crews will work until sunset and reopen the roadway to vehicular traffic, so it remains accessible over the weekend. Construction crews will resume operations on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 7 a.m. This closure is necessary to perform improvements to the roadway and parking areas. While this advisory is in effect, vehicular traffic will be restricted. Motorists are encouraged to use active detours in place.

Parking impacts are anticipated in the construction area for the duration of the project. “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance, and motorists are encouraged to follow posted restrictions to help ensure a smooth and safe construction process. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This work is part of the DPW773 2024 Right of Way (ROW) Improvements Phase 2 Project, which includes roadway resurfacing, curb replacement where needed, installation of ADA-compliant ramps where none exist, and restriping of the roadway and parking areas. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of August 2025, weather permitting.

Safety is our top priority. Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians safely through the area.
