City of New Orleans Reminds Residents to Participate in the Safe Streets for All Plan

NEW ORLEANS —The City of New Orleans reminds residents to help shape a safer, more equitable transportation future through its Safe Streets for All (SS4A) program. Community members are encouraged to visit www.nola.gov/ss4a and use two key online tools: a brief survey and an interactive map to identify locations where they feel unsafe driving, walking, bicycling, and riding transit.

This feedback will directly inform the development of a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan that will prioritize safe, comfortable, and accessible transportation options for every New Orleanian—however they travel.

” Your voice is critical to making sure our streets reflect the real needs and lived experiences of the people who walk, bike, drive, and ride them every day,” said Mayor LaToya Cantrell. “This is an opportunity to directly shape how we invest in safety improvements and create a safer, more connected New Orleans for everyone.”

The City encourages the public to:

  • Complete a short survey to share their transportation habits and safety concerns.
  • Add locations of concern to an interactive map, highlighting specific streets or intersections that feel unsafe.

The input gathered will help the City prioritize how it uses federal and local funds and reforms policies to improve streets and reduce traffic injuries and fatalities.

Residents are invited to complete survey and map unsafe locations by June 20
