CITY OF NEW ORLEANS ISSUES STATEMENT
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today issued the following statement to all media:
As yesterday's release stated, Mayor Cantrell will return to New Orleans at the conclusion of the conference.
The Mayor has been consistently working in collaboration with our unified public safety partners which consists of the Governor's Office, Attorney General's Office, federal, state and regional law enforcement agencies, and participated in a press conference held on Sunday, May 18 at Benson Tower in response to the escape from the Orleans Justice Center.
In addition, the Mayor addressed updates of law enforcement captures at the beginning of Tuesday's Hurricane Season Preparedness press conference. The Mayor will continue to stand in full support of the unified public safety partners manhunt for the remaining escapees, and thanks all law enforcement agencies for their dedicated efforts. Mayor Cantrell also thanks the public for providing information to the law enforcement agencies.
