Critical Missing Person Reported in NOPD Fourth District
NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating an 87-year-old man reported as missing in the Fourth District.
John “Jack” S. Peterson (pictured, DOB: 09/11/1937) was last seen on Thursday, March 13, 2025. At approximately 6:21 a.m., Peterson left his home for a scheduled medical appointment and did not arrive.
At 8:12 p.m., Peterson’s credit card was utilized at a gas station located in
Clearview, Florida. Peterson's vehicle, a 2012 white Ford Expedition with LA license plate 248EQH, was last reported traveling eastbound on Interstate 10, towards Tallahassee, Florida, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Peterson is described as being 5'10", 160 pounds, with gray hair.
