2024 FQ Right of Way Project
Scope: Roadway resurfacing, re-striping, sidewalk repairs, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramps, and driveway apron repairs
Locations:
- Gov. Nicholls Street: 600 – 1000 blocks
- Ursulines Avenue: 500 – 1000 blocks
- St. Philip Street: 600 – 1000 blocks
- St. Ann Street: 600, 900 – 1000 blocks
- St. Louis Street: 1100 block
- Madison Street: 600 block
- St. Peter Street: 700-1000 block
- Conti Street: 500 – 600 / 900 – 1100 blocks
- Clinton Street: 200 block
- Chartres Street: 100 – 600 / 800 – 1300 blocks
- Frenchmen Street: 400 – 600 blocks
- Burgundy Street: 2200 – 2500 blocks
- Decatur Street: 2200 – 2500 blocks
Status: In the French Quarter, crews are finishing sidewalk work on St. Philip Street. Work on Frenchmen Street is scheduled to begin after Mardi Gras.

2024 CBD Right of Way - Phase 2 Improvements
Scope: Patch, Mill and Resurfacing work at various locations
Locations: Magazine Street (Nashville Avenue to East Drive)
Status: Construction began on Magazine Street between Nashville Avenue and East Drive on Thursday, Feb. 20. The Department of Public Works contractor, Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC, is milling and resurfacing the roadway, including both travel and parking lanes. Crews are working daily from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, maintaining one open lane in the direction where construction is not occurring. "No Parking/Tow Away Zone" signs are posted in active work areas. The project is expected to conclude with roadway restriping by the end of the week, weather permitting. Please note, the schedule may change due to weather or other factors.

Hotel Collapse Site Rehabilitation
Scope: Waterline installation, drainage upgrades, pavement, and sidewalk restoration
Status: The majority of work is complete. Iberville brick work was recently completed. RTA grout repairs at the Canal and Rampart intersection are scheduled but will take place after Mardi Gras.
Downman Road / Lincoln Beach Project
Scope: Road resurfacing, striping, sidewalk repairs, and underground utility updates

Leon C. Simon: Press Dr to Elysian Fields Ave
Status: Work on Downman Road is now complete. On Leon C. Simon Drive, crews are continuing to remove and replace concrete roadway panels from Elysian Fields Avenue to the Seabrook Bridge. One lane of traffic will remain open in the direction where construction is not occurring.

Scope: Repairing and upgrading concrete and specialty sidewalks (brick/stone)

Barracks Street (Rampart – Decatur): All work is complete except in the 700 block, where a water leak must be repaired by the Sewerage & Water Board before construction can resume.
Broad Street Pedestrian Safety Project

Scope: Pedestrian Signal Improvements, ADA Curb Ramps and Sidewalks
Status: With the Endymion Parade approaching on March 1, crews have started work on the lake side of Palmyra to Banks Street to improve safety and traffic flow.
Over the next few weeks, crews will replace sidewalks and driveways on the lake side from Conti to Iberville and the river side from Palmyra to Cleveland. Traffic detours will be set up along Cleveland to Canal (river side) and Iberville to Canal (lake side). Street parking won’t be available during sidewalk work.
No Sidewalk Parking: Residents and businesses should avoid parking on sidewalks—enforcement begins soon.
