The Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office is excited to announce that we’re preparing to launch our next cohort of the Civic Leadership Academy, an engaging 8 week education program that provides residents with an in-depth look at City government. The program includes tours, hands-on demonstrations and presentations that give participants an insider view of how the City of New Orleans operates. With this knowledge, participants are better equipped to lead collective action towards the advancement of neighborhoods and residents’ quality of life.
The Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) extends this invitation for eligible residents to apply to the Civic Leadership Academy Spring 2025 class.
Who can participate in Civic Leadership Academy?
An eligible participant must be a resident of the city of New Orleans, at least 18 years old, and is actively involved in a neighborhood or business association. (Each applicant MUST provide proof of residency.)

Where: Enterprise Community Conference Room, 8th floor of City Hall (8E10)
Applications will be received until 5 pm, Monday, March 31st, 2025, or UNTIL CAPACITY IS REACHED at which time applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
