City of New Orleans Welcomes Super Bowl Celebrations 

 

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans is excited to offer a lineup that gives fans of all ages the chance to experience the football excitement leading up to the big game, with everything from live performances to cultural festivals and interactive football fun.

 

Event Lineup:

 

  

The Super Bowl Experience 

Location: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, 900 Convention Center Blvd. 

Dates: Feb. 5-8

Time: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Description: The Super Bowl Experience is the NFL's interactive football theme park! The event will feature a variety of fun activities including: 

  • Interactive games and skill challenges 
  • Autographs from current and former NFL stars 
  • Photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl Rings 
  • Exclusive NFL Shop merchandise This family-friendly experience is the ultimate Super Bowl Week event, offering fun for all ages. 

Super Bowl Movie Night Under the Stars 

Location: Lafayette Square Park 

Date: Thursday, Feb. 6

Time:  7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Description: Grab a blanket and enjoy a free outdoor movie screening, featuring football classics and Super Bowl highlights. It’s a relaxed way to enjoy the evening with family and friends in the heart of New Orleans. 

  

  

Louisiana Culture Festival 

Location: French Market, 1101 N. Peters St. 

Dates: Feb. 7-8 

Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Description: Celebrate Louisiana's unique cultural heritage at the Louisiana Culture Festival at the French Market. Visitors can enjoy: 

  • Unique booths showcasing local Native American tribes 
  • Live cooking and dance demonstrations 
  • Basket weaving and storytelling 
  • Live performances by jazz and zydeco bands This festival brings a mix of history, music, and local traditions, making it a must-see during Super Bowl LIX. 

 

  

Super Bowl Experience: Mardi Gras Meets Football 

Location: Warehouse District 

Dates: Feb. 6-8

Time:  1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Description: While the official Super Bowl Experience at the convention center is ticketed, the Super Bowl Experience Street party in the Warehouse District is free to attend. This event blends the energy of Mardi Gras with Super Bowl celebrations, offering live music, food vendors, and street performers. 

  

Tailgate Party at City Park 

Location: City Park (Near Pavilion of the Two Sisters) 

Date: Friday, Feb. 7

Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Description: Join fellow fans for a free, laid-back tailgate party at City Park. With live music, food trucks, and big-screen TVs showing the game, it’s a casual and fun way to enjoy Super Bowl Sunday with friends and family. 

 

 

Super Bowl Host Committee Parade

Location: Esplanade Ave and Decatur St.

Date: Saturday, Feb. 8

Time: 10 a.m.

Description: A vibrant parade through the French Quarter inspired by Mardi Gras, celebrating Super Bowl LIX, with colorful floats, marching bands, and special guests.
