NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced that City Hall will be closed to the public beginning on Monday, Feb. 3 through Friday, Feb. 7 to minimize traffic disruptions and ensure public safety while hosting Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome.
Due to necessary road closures and severe pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the vicinity of City Hall, the following additional City offices and buildings will be closed to the public:

PROPERTY TAX – BUREAU OF TREASURY
Residents are reminded of the property taxes payment deadline of Feb. 28. Taxpayers are encouraged to pay taxes online at www.nola.gov/Treasury. Payments can be submitted via ACH or debit/credit card. There is a 2.5 percent convenience fee for credit/debit card payments. Full payment is due when paying online. Payments can be mailed to the City of New Orleans Bureau of Treasury Department 165025, P. O. Box 62600, New Orleans, LA 70162-2600.
NOTE: Failure to include the department number may cause a delay in processing or the postal service may return the parcel. If you fail to include the department number on your parcel, the City of New Orleans will not waive interest fees for payments returned to sender.
Payments mailed to an address other than the address listed above, including any to the Assessor’s Office, that are received by the City of New Orleans Bureau of Treasury after the delinquency date are delinquent and interest will be imposed.
Mailing a payment to the P.O. Box with a printout from the website may delay processing. For further questions or concerns regarding payment and bill inquiries, email taxresearchunit@nola.gov. HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The Office of Housing Policy and Community Development (OCD) will provide virtual services from Feb. 3 through Feb. 14. Residents can call (504) 658-4240, (504) 658-4232 or email ocd@nola.gov for services provided by OCD. In-office operations will resume on Monday, Feb. 17 at 8 a.m.
NEW ORLEANS MAIN PUBLIC LIBRARY
All alternative library locations will be open during regular operating hours of Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit New Orleans Public Library for alternative locations. Library materials may be returned to any location. Late materials will not accrue fees. The library is available 24 hours a day seven days a week through e-resources, including Libby, hoopla, Crescent City Sounds, Kanopy, Flipster, and more. CITY OF NEW ORLEANS OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
The City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will activate 24/7 from Monday, Feb. 3 to Monday, Feb. 10, in preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl. This activation helps to facilitate communication among participating agencies and a coordinated response to any potential emergencies or incidents during the high-profile event. Representatives from local, state, and federal partners will be present in the EOC to work collaboratively, providing real-time information and resources to safeguard the public, manage any potential threats, and respond swiftly to unforeseen circumstances. Staff will be working throughout the week to ensure the safety and security of attendees, as well as the smooth operation of the event.
