2024 CBD Right of Way Project
Scope: Roadway resurfacing, re-striping, sidewalk repairs, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramps, and driveway apron repairs

- St. Charles Ave. (Poydras St. – Canal St.)
- S. Broad St. (Howard Ave.- Euphrosine St.)
The work schedule is as follows: In general, day work will occur Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Night work will take place Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
This week: Day work will include patching on Old Poydras Street, as well as concrete operations on Old Poydras Street, Perdido Street, and South Broad Avenue. No night work is scheduled for the week of December 9–13.
Next week: Day work will include patching on Old Poydras Street and concrete operations on Perdido Street and Union Street. Night work will consist of milling and paving operations on Perdido Street from December 15 through December 19, weather permitting. During this time, Perdido Street between South Galvez Street and South Claiborne Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic. View the Traffic Advisory here. Milling operations will also occur on Union Street, and paving operations will take place on Howard Avenue, with interruptions to RTA services on Perdido Street and Howard Avenue.

- Ursulines Avenue: 500 – 1000 blocks
- St. Philip Street: 600 – 1000 blocks
- St. Ann Street: 600, 900 – 1000 blocks
- St. Louis Street: 1100 block
- Madison Street: 600 block
- St. Peter Street: 700-1000 block
- Conti Street: 500 – 600 / 900 – 1100 blocks
- Clinton Street: 200 block
- Chartres Street: 100 – 600 / 800 – 1300 blocks
- Frenchmen Street: 400 – 600 blocks
- Burgundy Street: 2200 – 2500 blocks
- Decatur Street: 2200 – 2500 blocks
Construction activities began on December 2 and is expected to continue through February 2025, weather permitting. In general, crews are working between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Signage and traffic control measures such as barrels and fencing will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.

This week: On December 9, milling operations began in the 100–300 blocks of Chartres Street. Milling operations will continue in the 400–600 blocks of Chartres Street, St. Peter Street, the 500–600 blocks of Conti Street, the 200 block of Clinton Street, the 1100 block of St. Louis Street, the 1100–900 blocks of Conti Street, and the 1000–900 blocks of St. Peter Street and St. Ann Street. Paving operations are scheduled in the 100–600 blocks of Chartres Street and on St. Peter Street. Paving wearing operations will take place in the 500–600 blocks of Conti Street, and patching and paving wearing operations are scheduled in the 200 block of Clinton Street.
