Poydras (S. Liberty to Convention Center Blvd.)
Scope: Patching, milling, and resurfacing the street, re-striping, sidewalk repairs, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramps where needed, and driveway apron repairs
Street work has been completed, while sidewalk repairs are ongoing and expected to finish by November. In preparation for the upcoming Taylor Swift concert, any unfinished sidewalk work has been secured with temporary safety measures. Road striping is currently underway, with a new bike lane being added in both directions on Poydras St., between Loyola Ave. and Convention Center Blvd. Additionally, a river bound bike lane will be installed between S. Liberty and Loyola.

Julia (Convention Center Blvd. to Loyola)
Scope: Roadway removal and replacement, re-striping, sidewalk repairs, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramps, and driveway apron repairs
Crews have completed drainage upgrades at the intersection of Baronne and Julia Streets, and work continues on the remaining ADA-compliant ramps. Roadway patching is also in progress and is expected to be completed by next week.
Starting Monday, the traffic configuration will shift. The left lane, which is currently closed, will reopen, and the right lane will be closed for the week to allow for concrete roadway patches. Once this work is completed, the street will fully reopen. Remaining work includes final ADA improvements and street striping, with all work scheduled for completion by November.

Girod (Loyola to S. Liberty)

Street repairs are complete, and the street has reopened. Sidewalk repairs are ongoing, with remaining work including permanent striping. The overall project is expected to be finished by November, weather permitting.

Scope: Waterline and drainage installation, along with pavement and sidewalk restoration at various locations
Waterline work on Iberville, Burgundy, Canal, and N. Rampart Streets is now complete, with the exception of the intersections. The Iberville/Burgundy intersection remains closed due to delays caused by underground utility conflicts. With the completion of valve repairs by the Sewerage and Water Board (SWB), the City is set to resume work at this intersection, with approximately three weeks of work remaining. The remaining tasks include tying in waterlines at the intersections and completing roadway restoration.
Last week, crews began restoring N. Rampart Street between Canal and Iberville. Starting Monday, Oct. 28, crews will continue street restoration adjacent to the RTA streetcar tracks, which will require a lakebound road closure. During this closure, vehicular traffic will be rerouted to Basin Street. Additionally, the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will replace streetcar service on the 46-Rampart-Loyola line during this time.

Sidewalk repairs began in late August in the Central Business District (CBD) / French Quarter (FQ), aiming to enhance safety and accessibility by addressing both concrete and specialty sidewalks (brick and/or stone). Crews are working at multiple locations within the project areas, with additional construction storage and equipment staged in the parking lanes. Residents may experience limited parking availability due to this equipment, along with some noise and dust associated with the construction activities. To minimize disruptions, safety cones will be placed around the work sites, and temporary access will be arranged for businesses.
