As a recipient of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation's Safety and Justice Challenge Racial Equity Cohort grant, the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice Coordination and Total Community Action Inc. are facilitating the development of a community-designed blueprint for advancing racial justice and reimagining criminal legal system reform.
The planning and implementation process of the blueprint will engage a diverse cohort of community-based organizations and community leaders to gather direct input to create and implement action strategies to advance racial equity within the Orleans Parish criminal legal system. Please join us to take part in this process at the first Safety and Justice Civic Design Studio from 3:00PM - 5:00PM, Saturday, January 13 at the Dryades YMCA. See the attached flyer for more information. We hope to see you there!
