TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Lane Closures on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced that beginning Monday, Sept. 11, Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will be restricting vehicle access in the left lane and at the neutral ground crossing on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Clara Street. The lanes will remain closed to vehicular traffic while crews work to assess and repair roadway and utility failures.
Motorists are advised to use caution during this time as this closure is expected to last approximately one week (see map). Public safety is our top priority; signage and traffic control measures, such as barrels and fencing, will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.
