Traffic Advisory: Lane Closure on General DeGaulle Drive
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW), beginning on Sunday, Aug. 20, closed the left eastbound travel lane of General DeGaulle Drive at Somerset Drive due to a potential roadway failure.
DPW will be assessing the damage and determining the needed repairs this week. The repairs will include the replacement of the collapsed panels.
Public safety is our top priority; signage and traffic control measures will remain in place to facilitate safe movement while DPW completes their assessments. The barricades will be lifted once the repairs have been completed.
