TOMORROW: City to Host Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan for Public Rights-of-Way Update

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) will provide a status update and request public input for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan Update. The update will be held via Zoom on Thursday, Feb. 17, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

This meeting will include an introduction to the ADA dashboard currently in development. The dashboard is a publicly available mapping tool to demonstrate the status of curb ramps throughout the City in comparison to the priority areas identified in the original Transition Plan released in 2013.

Additionally, DPW will present findings from the ongoing self-evaluation as part of the Transition Plan Update. The final draft will be released in August 2022.
