NOPD Announces Violent Crime Arrests, Clearances Between January 30-February 5

Arrested Wanted

 

NEW ORLEANS – Listed below are arrests or clearances by warrant obtained between January 30-February 5, 2022 in violent crime investigations by the NOPD:

 

Homicide

  • On January 31, the NOPD arrested Edmond R. Ramee Sr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 10-29-2000) on one count each of second-degree murder and violation of protective orders. The incident occurred on January 31 in the 7700 block of Henley Street.
  • On February 2, the NOPD obtained an arrest warrant for Samuel “Duke” Harris (pictured, black male, DOB; 10-06-1980) for second-degree murder. The incident occurred on January 15 at the intersection of Benefit Street and Saint Roch Avenue. Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Homicide Det.   • On February 4, the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals arrested James D. Patton (pictured, black male, DOB: 03-04-1983) for second-degree murder. The incident occurred on January 9 in the 900 block of Conti Street.

Armed Robbery /Carjacking

  • On February 5, NOPD Third District detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jonathan Silva (pictured, black male, DOB: 09-25-1996) for armed robbery. The incident occurred on February 5 in the 5400 block of Wisner Boulevard.
  • On February 4, NOPD Third District detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Reginald Wright (pictured, black male, DOB: 06-04-1998) for armed robbery. The incident occurred on February 3 in the 2600 block of Lavender Street. Anyone with information on Wright’s whereabouts is asked to call 504-658-6030 or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111.
  • On February 2, the NOPD detectives arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) for armed robbery. The incident occurred on January 11 in the 12300 block of South I-10 Service Road (Seventh District). The suspect was arrested in the 1500 block of Iberville Street (First District).
  • On February 1, NOPD First District detectives assisted by the Violent Offender Warrant Squad, Violent Crime Abatement and Intelligence Team and Sixth District detectives, arrested Sidney Cheneau Sr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 03-19-1988) on two counts of armed robbery with a firearm, one count of armed robbery, three counts of felon in possession of a firearm and one count of illegal carrying of weapons. The incidents occurred on January 13 in the 2100 block of Clio Street (Sixth District) and on January 28 in the 600 block of South Galvez Street (First District).
  • On January 31, the NOPD arrested Roderick A. Moliere (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-18-1998), a 17-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) and a 16-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for an incident on January 31 in the 2600 block of General Meyer Avenue (Fourth District). Moliere was arrested for armed robbery and armed robbery with a firearm. The 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested for armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. As this suspect was found to be the driver of the vehicle who attempted to flee, he was additionally charged with resisting arrest. The 16-year-old juvenile male was arrested for armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. Additionally, the suspect was charged with a second count of illegal possession of a stolen firearm that was reported stolen during an auto burglary in the Third District.

Other Significant Arrests

  • On February 5, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of aggravated criminal damage to property. The incident occurred on February 5 near the intersection of Burgundy Street and Elysian Fields Avenue.
  • On February 5, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Kentrell Hubbard (pictured, black male, DOB: 12-12-1998) for principle to simple robbery, illegal carrying of weapons, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of stolen property, and resisting an officer. The incident occurred on February 5 in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.
  • On January 31, NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Dantrell Brown (not pictured, black male, DOB: 01-15-2001) for illegal possession of a Schedule I CDS and illegal carrying of a weapon. The incident occurred on January 31 in the 8600 block of Gervais Street.
