Annual Drive Thru Toy Giveaway this Saturday

 

                                         

This Saturday, December 11, 2021 starting 10:00 am is our Annual Drive Thru Toy Giveaway in partnership with iHeartMedia and sponsored by Wright & Gray Law Firm at Lafitte Greenway.    Each child will receive one holiday gift and must be present in the vehicle at the giveaway.  While supplies last.

“We look forward to helping make this holiday season special for our youth and families in the city” said Larry Barabino, Jr., CEO of NORD.  “It is an honor to partner with so many generous partners and businesses who are committed to serving our cities youth through the success of this event.”

“This annual event is so important to so many people in the city, and I am delighted to see a return of partners and businesses who want to be involved to make this event a memorable one for so many youth and families during the holiday season” said Brian Egana, Chair of the NORD Commission.

In 2020, NORD partnered with several community organizations and businesses, who contributed over $6,000 to purchase more than 2,500 toys and supplies for the giveaway.  NORD was able to help more than 800 youth and families during this event and 30 families of justice involved youth at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center (JJIC).

The annual Drive Thru Holiday Toy Giveaway is Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Lafitte Greenway, near the Lemann Concession stand, starting at 10:00 am until supplies last.  FREE and open to youth ages 1-17.
