City Announces IV Waste is Now Supporting Collections as an Emergency Contractor in Service Area 2
NEW ORLEANS — Today, the City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation announced that on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, IV Waste began supporting solid waste collections in Service Area 2 as an emergency contractor. IV Waste is currently collecting two routes per day, Tuesday through Saturday, with five to six trucks until a new procurement has been completed in the next 60-90 days.
"The City continues to add resources to stabilize solid waste collections across the city. We are thrilled to have IV Waste supporting our efforts in Service Area 2," said Matt Torri, Director of the Department of Sanitation.

To date, the City has removed 28,087 tons of Municipal Solid Waste between Sept. 1 and Oct. 10, 2021. Residents can view the solid waste collection dashboard here.
The City has temporarily shifted to once per week solid waste collection in Service Area 1 and 2 to bring a level of consistency to residents. Residents can view once per week solid waste collection schedules here.
Storm debris (vegetative, construction, white goods, electronics) will continue to be collected separately by the City's Emergency Debris Contractor - Ceres Environmental. Residents can continue to track storm debris progress here.
