City's One Stop Shop for Permits & Licensing to Close on Wednesdays in Order to Expedite Cyber Incident Recovery

NEW ORLEANS — In order to recover from the Cyber Incident, the One Stop Shop for Permits & Licensing, which includes the Vieux Carre Commission (VCC), Historic Districts Landmarks Commission (HDLC), City Planning Commission (CPC), and the Department of Safety and Permits, will be closed to the public each Wednesday for the next six (6) months. This closure will begin Ash Wednesday, February 26, 2020, and continue through August 26, 2020.

This closure will allow staff to dedicate time to converting paper files to digital, searchable records in the City’s LAMA database for permitting, licensing, planning projects, and violation cases, while still maintaining public-facing customer service capacity. Once the conversion process is complete, we intend to bring back the City’s full online land use services, including the One Stop App and online permit and license applications.

While we understand that this process may take some time, we thank each of you for your continued patience and look forward to being able to resume full services as soon as possible.

Please Note:

  • All field personnel will continue to serve the public on these days for previously scheduled inspections and complaint investigations. (No walk-ins will be taken, however, customers can call our field inspection office lines to register complaints and schedule additional inspections)

  • All public hearings will be held as regularly scheduled, including any that are conducted on Wednesdays. This includes board and commission meetings.
