MAYOR CANTRELL ISSUES STATEMENT ON

END OF ETI SERVICE TO MSY

NEW ORLEANS — Mayor LaToya Cantrell today issued the following statement on the ending of the contract between the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and ETI:

"ETI Inc.’s time working on the facilities maintenance at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport has come to its end,” said Mayor Cantrell. "The new MSY terminal is the largest infrastructure project for the City since the Superdome. Many of our infrastructure issues stem from a lack of routine maintenance. Moving forward, infrastructure maintenance has to be our top priority, and our airport must set the tone for the new normal. In seeking future partners for the contract, the City expects the kind of top-level performance, competency and professionalism that our people, our visitors and our new airport deserve. MSY is the first and last impression people have of New Orleans, and its facilities should reflect the world-class city that we are."
