TONIGHT: MOVING NEW ORLEANS BIKES' ALGIERS

QUICK-BUILD CORRIDORS PRELIMINARY DESIGN MEETING

University Holy Cross

NEW ORLEANS – The Mayor’s Office of Transportation and the Department of Public Works invite Algiers residents to review preliminary designs on the proposed expanded bikeway network in their neighborhood with the first of two meetings tonight at the University of Holy Cross.

“As we move into the implementation phase of Moving New Orleans Bikes, we have preliminary designs ready for public review and input for our first set of projects. We’re excited to meet Algiers residents where they are so they can get an up-close look and help us move the design forward,” said Office of Transportation Policy and Program Manager Dan Jatres. “We will be looking at how we are quickly building 11 miles of bikeways across nine corridors, and we want the residents of these neighborhoods to come engage on the design of these projects.”

The second meeting is Aug. 28.
