City of New Orleans Issues Statement on Ramadan
NEW ORLEANS — The Mayor's Office of Human Rights and Equity issued the following statement in advance of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which begins Sunday:
“On behalf of the City of New Orleans, we extend best wishes to the Muslim community across the entire Greater New Orleans area during Ramadan," Director Vincenzo Pasquantonio said. "We will continue to work together to ensure that New Orleans continues to be a #CityOfYes and upholds the value and worth of every human being.”
