TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURE OF BULLARD AVENUE BETWEEN LAKE FOREST BOULEVARD AND THE I-10 SERVICE ROAD
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will reduce travel to one lane on both sides of Bullard Avenue between Lake Forest Boulevard and the I-10 Service Road. The lane reduction will allow construction crews to repair damaged concrete panels.
Public safety is our top priority; residents and commuters should plan to travel at slower speeds and use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near this construction site.
Drivers traveling both north and south bound on Bullard Avenue will be required to use the outside travel lanes for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. When concrete work is completed on the inside travel lanes, traffic will shift to the new concrete lanes while crews work on the outside travel lanes. The lane reductions are scheduled to last approximately one month, weather permitting.
Signage and traffic control measures such as barrels will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.
