City Hall is coming to your neighborhood! In an effort to better connect residents with local government, City Hall is excited to announce the expansion of the Mayor’s Community Office Hours Program beginning Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Residents will now have the opportunity to engage with representatives from various city departments more often and at more locations throughout the city. Community Office Hours have been extended Monday through Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A pilot initiative was first implemented in June 2018 when City staff began holding regular office hours on Mondays and Wednesdays at a number of locations in neighborhoods across the city. The initiative was an overwhelming success.
Community Office Hours will enable City Hall to be more accessible, responsive and helpful to a greater number of local residents. This effort will create a two-way street of effective communication and information sharing in order to more effectively address important neighborhood issues.
