NOPD Searches for Subject Accused of Filing False Armed Robbery Report
NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is searching for a subject wanted for filing a false
police report about an armed robbery that investigators now
believe did not occur.
Craig Campbell (DOB: 09/28/1979) is wanted for criminal
mischief- filing a false report. Campbell is believed to be about 5'8" in height and weighs around 140 pounds.
On Wednesday September 5, 2018 Campbell reported to NOPD Eighth District officers that he had been
the victim of an armed robbery in the 400 block of Burgundy Street. Two persons
were arrested in connection with the incident.
A subsequent investigation determined that the alleged robbery did
not occur.
One of the arrested subjects, D’Angelo Powell (DOB: 01/14/1998), remains incarcerated on
unrelated charges. The other arrested subject is no longer in
custody.
