NOPD Searches for Subject Wanted in Third District Armed Robbery
NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is
searching for a subject wanted for an armed robbery with a knife that occurred in
the Third District.
The incident
occurred on July 29, 2018 in the 6300 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.
The wanted
subject, identified as Anthony James Bridges (B/M DOB 11/09/1998), contacted
the victim via Instagram stating he wanted to purchase a cell phone the victim
was selling.
Bridges arranged
to meet the victim at a pre-determined location.
Bridges arrived
at the location in a black Nissan Altima. The victim approached the vehicle
with the cell phone. Bridges then pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at the
victim and demanded the phone.
The victim,
fearing for his safety, handed the Bridges the cell phone. Bridges then fled in
the vehicle south on Elysian Fields Avenue toward Robert E Lee.
