Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Assault
Incident on Symmes Avenue
NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is seeking assistance
from the public in locating Charles Washington (DOB: 08-23-1988), who is wanted
for his involvement in an aggravated assault incident in the Seventh District.
The incident happened on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at or
about 12 a.m. The victim told police she and Washington were involved in a
verbal altercation in the 7800 block of Symmes Avenue.
During the altercation Washington brandished a black handgun
and began firing shots at the victim. One of the projectiles struck an occupied
residence in the area.
Washington fled the scene in a black 2000 Lexus SUV bearing
Louisiana license plate 558BYO.
