NOPD Searches for Subject in Connection with Seventh District Simple Arson
NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD
is search for subject in connection with a Seventh District simple arson and
simple criminal damage incident.
Osman
Norales B/M (DOB: 8-28-1997) of the 7700 block of Dorsett Street is wanted on
charges of simple arson and simple criminal damage.
On February 1, 2018, at 8:28 a.m. in the 7900 block of Dorsett Street, Norales
was involved in an argument that escalated.
He left the victim’s residence and returned minutes later with property
that belonged to the victim she had left at his residence.
Norales then placed the victim’s property on the ground near the front
door. He then set fire to the victim’s property causing a fire large enough to
require a call to the New Orleans Fire Department.
During the investigation, the case officers confirmed with arson investigators
the victim’s property was deliberately set on fire.
Officers secured an arrest warrant for Norales for simple arson and
simple criminal damage.
