NOPD Searching for Subject in Seventh District Home Invasion, Simple Assault

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is searching for a subject in a Seventh District home invasion and simple assault.


The incident occurred on January 11, 2018 at 12:48 p.m. in the 6800 block of Tara Lane.

Police are searching for Orlando Williams (B/M DOB: 1-21-1998) in connection with the incident.


Williams went to the location knowing he was not welcome there. When the victim opened the front door the suspect forced his way inside and began to try and attack the female victims.


During the attack Williams grabbed a cell phone belonging to his ex-girlfriend and broke it.


Williams is then accused of threatening the victims and was told repeatedly to leave.


As the victims forced Williams out of the location, Williams, who was carrying a dark colored back pack, said he would get his gun from the back pack and kill the victims.


The victims were able force Williams out of the location and call the police.


Williams is known by police to carry a gun and will fight with officers.


During the night of January 11, 2018, Williams returned several times and attempted to get the ex-girlfriend to open the front door while making threats.


The suspect is also wanted for simple battery, stalking and violation of a protective order.
