NOPD Searching for Subject in Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD
is searching for a subject in connection with an aggravated assault with a
firearm.
On January
5, 2018 at 2:41 a.m. a call was received reporting an aggravated assault with a
firearm in the 5400 block of North Rampart Street.
The
victim was at the location to repossess the perpetrator’s vehicle for
nonpayment.
While
the victim was loading the vehicle onto a wrecker, the perpetrator, identified
as Jeffery Mullens (DOB: 8/29/1985) exited his residence armed with a rifle and
pointed the weapon at the victim, demanding that he place the vehicle back like
he found it.
The victim complied
and Mullens fled the scene.
