NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD has arrested Devonte
Holmes (DOB: 10-23-2000), Alronello Mallery (DOB: 07-02-2000) and a 16-year-old
male juvenile in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on November
22,2017 in the 3200 block of Calhoun Street.
At about
9:29 p.m., Second District units responded to a call of an armed robbery in the
area. One of the victims told police
that he was seated in the driver side of his truck with his friend seated in
the passenger seat and parked in front of his residence. They were then approached
from the rear by an unknown subject who pointed a gun at the driver and demanded
the victims’ wallets. A second subject approached from the rear and walked
around the front of the vehicle to the passenger and demanded his wallet. Both victims
complied, and the subjects then fled on foot on Calhoun Street towards Fontainebleau
Street.
Units
responding to the scene observed the subjects fleeing the area on Fontainbleau
Street. After pursuing the suspects on foot, all three subjects were contained
in a neighborhood block. A perimeter was established, and a search of the block
resulted in the apprehension of all three subjects, identified as Holmes,
Mallery and the juvenile.
Each of the
three suspects was arrested and booked on two counts of armed robbery in the
incident. The juvenile was transported to the NOPD juvenile division and booked
accordingly, while the remaining two suspects were booked into the Orleans
Parish Justice Center.
