Vehicle Involved in Armed Robbery Sought by Fifth District Detectives

NEW ORLEANS -
The NOPD is searching for a blue Dodge Ram truck that was used in an armed
robbery on October 16, 2017.
The
victim stated he was helping a customer check out at about 3:55 p.m., when an unknown black male
entered a store with his face covered in the 2000 block of North Claiborne
Avenue. The
suspect then produced a silver
handgun and demanded cash out of the register.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives located video
surveillance and were able to determine that the perpetrator was driving a blue
2008 Dodge Ram bearing Louisiana license #C453944.
The perpetrator fled in the vehicle
down Frenchmen Street and then in an unknown direction. The perpetrator was also seen wearing all dark clothing.
