NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC)
will offer summer camps serving youth ages 4-12 across the city. A limited
number of spaces are still available for youth summer camps, so
parents are encouraged to register soon.
NORDC will offer 41 youth summer
camps (ages 4-12), that will serve over 3,800 kids across the City of New
Orleans through partnerships with schools, non-profits and faith-based
organizations. Summer programming offers a wide array of academic, cultural and
recreational activities, including field trips and water safety classes at
NORDC pools. Summer camp participants will also have an opportunity to
participate in the National Dental Association’s “Back to School Cavity Free”
program. Free breakfast and lunch are provided daily.

In order to register for camps,
parents need to provide the following:
- Proof of Orleans Parish
residency (copy of driver’s license, state ID or utility bill)
- Proof of Income with a
2017 date
- Report card (copy of the
child’s last report from 2016-2017 school year)
- Registration fee, if
applicable
