Calling All Cooks! Join the Competition at Lane’s 8th Annual Code Red Chili & Salsa Cook-Off

Do you make a mean bowl of chili? Is your salsa the best around? Put your skills to the test and join in the HOT competition at Lane RMC Foundation’s 8th Annual Code Red Chili & Salsa Cook-off, Saturday, April 29th, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., in Downtown Zachary at the Historic Village.

The Code Red Chili & Salsa Cook-off competition is open to amateurs and and professionals of ALL ages

and offers companies, organizations, and individuals the opportunity to compete in an exciting and fun environment!

There are four competition categories: Judges Red Chili, Judges Salsa, People’s Choice Chili and People’s Choice Salsa. Team entry fees start at $40. Compete in one or ALL! In addition, we are accepting vendor applications to be a part of the arts and crafts market.

Admission and parking to this family-friendly event are FREE. In addition to tasting some world-class chili and salsa, bring the family and enjoy an arts & crafts market, kidz zone, games, food, and LIVE MUSIC featuring local artists Laine Hardy, Blue Crab Redemption, and Whiskey Row.
