The Baker Chamber of Commerce donated $1000, which were the proceeds of the Annual Chamber Awards Banquet, to the Baker School System on January 3, 2023, during the regularly scheduled Baker School Board meeting.
Mrs. Michel Woods, President of the Baker Chamber of Commerce told us "I am so grateful to our participants at the award dinner who contributed by participating! We are already identifying how to make next year's event even better! When asked about ongoing support for Baker Schools she said "...the best way to support the schools is to Shop Local, Shop Baker because a portion of sales taxes inside the City of Baker support our school system! That way, with every purchase you make in the City of Baker you are supporting our schools, the children, teachers, and staff by directly contributing to critical funding. Please keep this in mind when making decisions about where to shop!"
