The National Weather Service is reporting:
WHAT: Risk of Severe Weather today and Friday
WHEN: Today mainly after 3pm through the evening. Friday mainly after noon through the evening.
WHERE: Today along and north of a line from Gulfport to New Orleans to Houma. Friday, all areas west of Jackson County MS
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
- Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible
- Trees and powerlines could be damaged and lead to isolated/scattered power outages
- Possible hail
Please stay weather aware, monitor local weather news as this system approaches and please be mindful of the potential for heavy winds and possible hail.
Please take precautions to secure items around your home and business in advance of forecasted winds and please be prepared in the event of a severe weather.

In the event of downed power lines, please do not attempt to move them and do not approach them. If you are in a vehicle, do not exit the vehicle.
Please call 9-1-1 to report downed power lines and to report emergencies.
