The Magnolia Rose Foundation will present the 1st Rose Run for Autism Acceptance at Baker City Park Track, 3325 Groom Road, Baker, LA 70714 on April 30, 2022, 9:00am. Featuring music by Ashari Robinson Music and Warm-Up by Natural Body by Jazz.
The Magnolia Rose Foundation is proud to bring the 1st Rose Run to Baker, LA. Since this is our first year, we will not be soliciting any funds, but we will be using this event as a “kick-off” to introduce the foundation. This is a free event, and everyone is invited to participate by running, walking, skipping, rolling etc. It doesn’t matter, as long as participants get around the track 4 times to equal a 3K.
Autism is a spectrum of colors, so participants are encouraged to wear brightly colored t-shirts. We will have music and entertainment. This is a public family friendly event so everyone can bring their own refreshments, and just hang out with us to give the children an opportunity to play with each other which is the vision for the Magnolia Rose Foundation. Participants are allowed to bring tents and chairs to be set up on the grounds.
Most people don’t realize that Autism isn’t a “disability” it’s a “different ability”. Every 1 in 44 children are autistic. The vision of the Magnolia Rose Foundation is to teach inclusion and encourage the acknowledgement of developmental differences. For children of all ages and abilities to connect through play and education, that one-day society will show recognition to all neurodivergent people.
For those who may feel overstimulated, a dark sensory tent with complimentary earplugs will be available also. Water will be provided, and a prize will be given to everyone who registers and completes the 3K. So again, we are inviting everyone to the 1st Rose Run, a “free” event at Baker City Park on April 30th @ 9:00am. To register visit Eventbrite.com and search for the Magnolia Rose Foundation.
