Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Follows and adheres to all Safety procedures and protocols.
- Filling, watering & trimming the plants.
- Monitoring the health of the plants.
- Working with the Cultivation Manager to ensure proper care of the plants (e.g., nutrients, fertilizers, etc.).
- Ensures proper housekeeping and cleaning practices are handled daily.
- Understands and monitors the irrigation/fertigation equipment.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements of LDAF daily (e.g., labeling, tagging and daily tracking charts, etc.).
- Adheres to all security protocols and mandates of LDAF.
- Able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Capable of sitting, standing, bending, squatting and/or walking for long hours at a time.
- Perform other duties as needed/or required.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated to learn and improve.
- Strong mathematical skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measure.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision.
- Can maintain a positive attitude.
- Proficient in computer programs including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and e-mail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, constantly changing, team environment.
- Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information obtained from manuals, data sheets, or other documents.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or Plant Sciences preferred (willing to accept 3+ years of verifiable work experience in horticulture in lieu of a degree)
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be and remain compliant with all company regulations.
Background Check Requirements:
As a condition of employment, a complete background investigation will be conducted based on the rules of Louisiana. The state investigative process includes a state and federal background check. Individuals that have been convicted of any of the following criminal offenses, or who have a charge pending for any of the following criminal offenses, will not be eligible to work at Ilera Holistic:
