Notice of the City of Baker’s intent to submit an LDOA CDBG Application for HVAC Replacement
|
|
Pursuant to citizen participation requirements by the Louisiana Division of Administration (LDOA) for non-entitlement cities, this notice is to inform the public of the City of Baker’s intent to submit a Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) application-- to the state-- in the amount of $913,000 to replace the HVAC system at the Baker Municipal Community Auditorium to reduce the spread of COVID 19 using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) HUD CARES funds, if awarded.
The Auditorium is a public facility, located at 1420 Alabama, an area where 51% or more are low to moderate income persons. The current HVAC system has been in place since 1984. With the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic certain measures should be in place to promote quality air circulation to reduce the spread of COVID 19.
Public improvement activities will involve completely replacing the current system as outlined in the application documents appearing on the city’s website.
Interested parties may access the complete application by going to the city’s website: City of Baker LDOA HVAC Application. The application will be available for public inspection and comment, beginning Monday, August 23 (24 hours daily) through 3 pm, Monday, August 30, 2021. If you wish to comment, a public comment form is available at: Public Comment Form: Replacement HVAC System of the Baker Municipal Community Auditorium
