On July 14, 2021, the Baker Heritage Museum honored Dorothy Anderson for her over 10 years of service at Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine.
The ceremony was small and close-knit with Ms. Anderson's spiritual son and daughter, council members and City of Baker staff and LSU Administrator Ginger Gutner. Ms. Dorothy Anderson was so surprised and honored to receive her certificate and was happy to share such an accomplishment with the people she cares. She stated that there were no words to express how much she appreciated all those who helped put this together and those who came to celebrate this accomplishment with her.
