On June 29, 2021, the Baker Chamber of Commerce held a ground breaking ceremony for Fast Pace Urgent Care located on 902 Main Street.
Baker Chamber of Commerce members, Mayor Waites and Asia Farlough, the regional marketing coordinator for the Louisiana branch, were in attendance for this momentous event. Mayor Waites and Michel Woods were very appreciative and proud to welcome this new business to Baker.

When talking to Asia Farlough, she stated that Fast Pace Urgent Care will open in November, but no specific date has been decided yet.
The week leading up to their grand opening, Fast Pace will be canvasing that Monday-Friday by going out to businesses and introducing themselves to the community.
Also on that Friday, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Baker Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 am followed by an open house from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. The open house will include free t-shirts, goody bags, and a chance to enter into a raffle to win a TV. The Fast Pace Urgent Care Open House will allow members of the community to meet staff, ask questions, and familiarize themselves with the new urgent care facility. Their weekend hours will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and their weekday hours will be from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Closer to the time of their open house and ribbon cutting ceremony, information will be sent out across their Facebook and Instagram platforms, through the City of Baker's update service, and people can expect direct mail as well.
