Ilera Holistic Healthcare has a job opportunity for the citizens of Baton Rouge and Shreveport as a Pharmaceutical Sales and Education Representative.
This is a full-time sales/remote home office position, located in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, with some regional travel required as needed and industry training will be provided. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to regularly call on health care professionals (primary care physicians, clinics, and pharmacies) within a specific geographic area. Day-to-day responsibilities consist of supporting the education and pharmacology behind our products, which includes organizing, tracking and distributing literature, scheduling educational training and assisting health care professionals to truly understand the science behind medical marijuana products to debunk the myths and stigmatisms. You will maintain a current and competent level of knowledge on the product line to be a reliable source of information to the health care professionals, pharmacists, and patients in the territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive outstanding sales performance that ensure sales goals are met or exceeded. Effectively use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations.
- Customize discussions and client interactions designed to educate based on individual customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Regularly use a variety of analytical tools to understand and evaluate the business in order to best determine how to accomplish sales objectives and apply resources such as educational programs, webinars, lunch-and-learns, etc. in an effective and ethical manner.
- Develop a business plan that ensures achievement of all KPI goals and delivery on all sales objectives.
- Capitalize on formulary advantages and other opportunities through effective understanding of the medical science behind the products that we manufacture and sale to address all types of medical conditions.
- Work with Finance (Inventory Management) to stay in tune with product in-stock positions on all skus routinely.

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:
- 2-3+ years of Pharmaceutical Sales or Healthcare selling experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills between departments and attention to detail.
- Business to Business selling experience desirable.
- Consistent and documented track record of success in assigned geography.
- Excellent selling, closing, persuasion and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting towards meeting established objectives.
- Well developed written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with employees and external contacts (i.e., physicians, pharmacists, and patients) demonstrating the awareness and empathy for their needs and responding with the appropriate action.
- Highly effective organizational skills to implement a variety of programs, such as speaker programs, lunch and learns, webinars, and other activities.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
