URGENT! Call to Action: Contact the LA Legislature Today and Say #VOTENO on #LASB205

I am asking you today to join me in opposition to Louisiana Senate Bill 205 (#LASB205) which proposes the separation of BREC into multiple recreation districts.

If this bill is passed by the Louisiana Legislature it has the potential to dismantle the East Baton Rouge Parish Parks System and upend the plans to renovate the Greenwood Park and Baton Rouge Zoo, a massive investment which is not only critical to the growth of Baker, North Baton Rouge, Central and Zachary but the entire Metro area. 

It is well understood that the plans currently underway are transformative for the entire region and represent important, life changing, institutional investment for the northern part of this parish. The increase in tourism is a catalyst for jobs, increased sales tax revenues and improving the lives of so many people in the area. 

It is imperative that this Bill is soundly defeated in the Louisiana Legislature which is why I am making this call to action today.

Please join me in contacting our Louisiana Representatives and Senators today and urge them to vote NO on Louisiana Senate Bill 205.

We must do everything we can to secure the economic future of our community for ourselves and our families.
