Ethel's Snack Shack: the mere mention of the name should bring the images of homecooked meals to mind. Smothered pork chops, fried catfish, shrimp étouffée; just to name a few items off the menu.
On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Ethel's Snack Shack was officially inaugurated into the Baker Chamber of Commerce with a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony.
Carl Fontenot, the owner, noted that he has been in ownership of the establishment for three years after he took over the business from his godmother Gloria Ned, who was donated the shack from the original Ms. Ethel.
The ribbon cutting was a lively event filled with food and fellowship! Credit goes to Jacqueline Jones, a former employee, seen with Michel Woods our President of the Baker Chamber of Commerce, who advocated for Ethel's Snack Shack to join the Chamber.
Ethel's Snack Shack is open from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday-Friday.
